The Give Back Game is a tradition that was established in the 2019 season. Each year, in an effort to include service learning and philanthropy into our team’s philosophy, team members choose an organization to raise money for. Each athlete is asked to spread the word for the game, and is asked to collect monetary donations from a minimum of 5 donors (without asking family members). In addition to pledge donations, the proceeds of the ticket gate and various donation buckets are donated to the organization.
In the inaugural season, we raised $1,333 to donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
This year’s Give Back Game details are still in the works, but we will soon announce a date, local organization we will work with, and a plan to volunteer with that organization on top of the monetary donation.
